Bicester, UK – In a strategic move to streamline its product offerings and enhance customer experience, Mercury has chosen to consolidate its outboard brands, focusing solely on the Mercury brand for the leisure market.

EP Barrus, a long-standing partner of Mercury, is fully committed to supporting this transition and ensuring a seamless experience for all customers, including those currently owning and using Mariner outboards. Mariner will continue its heritage in the 2-stroke commercial markets for the likes of the RNLI and Ministry of Defence.

This decision reflects a commitment to enhancing dealership support and customer satisfaction through a singular brand focus.

As part of this move, production of new 4 stroke Mariner outboards for the leisure sector will stop.  This streamlined approach will bring several advantages to dealers and customers alike:

• Exclusive Transition Offers: Mariner owners who wish to transfer to Mercury products will receive an exclusive incentive, including tailored trade-in options.
• Dealer Development Investment: Barrus is launching a £1 million dealer development scheme aimed at realigning the dealer network to ensure that dealers are well-equipped to capitalise on the opportunities presented by the expanded focus on Mercury.
